March 8 is International Women’s Day, a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women at Hydro One and around the world, and raise awareness of the work left to be done to close the gender equity gap and achieve true equality.
Hydro One’s Employee Resource Groups, the Women in Trades, Technology & Engineering (WTTE) Network and Men as Allies, along with the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team will co-host a panel to discuss the theme of “Embracing Equity” and the ways in which we all play a part.
Keynote speaker: Sheliza Jamal, Executive Director and Founder, Curated Leadership
Panelists: Teri French, Sabrin Lila, Mackenzie Gillan and Kim Trimble
The session will be recorded and available on HydroNet to all employees who are not able to attend online or in-person.
As in any case when operating a mobile device, we ask that you follow all standard health and safety practices.
Hydro One is proud to offer a 1:1 match for donations made to Build a Dream, a Canadian organization that delivers specialized programs to encourage and empower women students to explore careers where women are under-represented, while also working to create a gender-balanced workforce, and change global perspectives on women’s contribution to society.
